During a Wednesday news conference, Victoria police confirmed that five people were involved in the crash. One person was taken to an out-of-town hospital where they are receiving high-level trauma care. Three people were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fifth person — the pilot of the plane — is also being evaluated, but authorities have not disclosed their condition at this time.

According to the Victoria Advocate, the plane departed from Victoria Regional Airport at 9:52 a.m. on Wednesday and was last detected around 2:57 p.m.reported that the plane reached a maximum altitude of 14,000 feet. Around 2 p.m., the plane’s altitude decreased exponentially.
