Under that proposal, the planning commission’s public hearing agendas would be published only once in the Dothan Eagle instead of twice, as an ordinance now requires. “The effectiveness of advertising in a newspaper is decreasing because it is no longer published daily the effectiveness of advertising the agenda twice is questionable,” reads a resolution that city commissioners will vote on Tuesday.In the resolution, the city said it provides agendas to 118 email recipients; they are posted on city hall bulletin boards and published on its website.and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
