The Steelers are hiring Saints assistant offensive line coach Jahri Evans in a role on their staff.

He has been a coach for four years, starting as an intern with the Saints and rising up over the years to become their assistant offensive line coach. Evans has been seen as a rise among the league. It is unknown just what Evans’ title will be, as coming to be the team’s assistant offensive line coach would be a lateral move. The Steelers are already set to hire decorated offensive line coach James Campen onto their staff. The Philadelphia native played at Bloomsburg University from 2002 to 2005 before being a fourth-round pick by the Saints, where he played from 2006 to 2015. During that time, he was named to the 2010s All-Decade team, made five All-Pros, and is considered one of the best guards to ever play the game. Evans has consistently been a Hall of Fame finalist over the years, and is part of the Saints Hall of Fame.
