Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said the decision was made due to a decree from his father, Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail on Sunday.
“The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council agrees that all group activities at mosques, including congregational and Friday prayers to be halted temporarily. He said the call of azan will now include the Arabic phrase which means"pray at your homes" instead of the usual call to"hurry over for prayer".
