PETALING JAYA: A total of 77 Covid-19 cases linked to the Seri Petaling Mosque gathering in Kuala Lumpur have been confirmed so far.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said out of the 41 new cases reported on Saturday , 37 were related to the tabligh gathering held earlier in the month."One of them has been admitted to the intensive care unit and is currently in stable condition," he said in a statement.

He said most of the cases were detected in Sabah, with 26 cases, followed by Negri Sembilan with 11 cases and Sarawak with 6 cases.From that number, 3,069 have been tested with 137 referred to hospitals. "Investigation and identification process of the gathering's attendees are still underway," he added.

Dr Hisham also sought the cooperation of those who had joined the gathering, but have yet to be tested to contact the nearest district health office for further advice.
