Despite Penn State hockey typically wearing white while at home in Pegula Ice Arena, the team will wear blue as a nod to the football team’s typical home attire. The sweaters will also drop their name plates in a nod to football’s “no names, all game” tradition. Across the chest, a block “PENN STATE” lettering will mimic the first varsity hockey club’s uniforms. White shoulders and pants will also mirror that era, and a blue stripe down the side of the pants will serve in honor of football’s “Generations of Greatness” alternate uniforms. In an additional ode to the Generations of Greatness kit, these hockey sweaters will feature the Nittany Lion Shrine at the base of the neckline. They’ll also have a laced football design inside the neckline at the back of the jersey. Last but not least, the numbers on the sweaters feature a section of the Beaver Stadium blueprint as the venue continues ongoing renovations. Each uniform features a different cutout of the blueprint, making the sweaters individually unique.
