For over a decade, Denise Novakovic has been doing the same routine in preparation of the holiday season. “On the news, there was a story about people sending cards to the troops – brand new cards. And then I thought, well I wonder if you could repurpose cards?” Novakovic said.Today, I spoke with a woman who's been repurposing OLD holiday cards and then mailing them out to troops all over the country! 🇺🇸“Even though they have their meals, they’re still not home.” Novakovic said.
Novakovic said that she’s had hundreds of people reach out to her, hoping to create the same tradition in their own families. She shares how one woman from California, shipped over 100 cards to her so she could repurpose them for our troops.
