Almost 100 bullet casings were found at a northwest apartment complex after a resident returned gunfire when a suspect forced his way into the home, according to San Antonio police.
Upon arrival, officers found blood at a broken apartment door entrance that had been left open, said SAPD.
Police said over 75 rifle and pistol shell cases were found on the ground outside the apartment building. SAPD searched the complex and located both the victim and suspect, 18-year-old men, who had fled the scene. During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect had shot at the apartment and forced open the door when the resident returned gunfire.
