CLAY COUNTY: Orange Park voters are deciding on a town council seat and Keystone Heights voters are weighing in on four amendments to the city charter.
It’s important to note that voters have to cast their ballots at the City’s town hall, not at their usual precincts.
In Keystone Heights, there are no offices on the ballot, but there are four charter amendments for voters to weigh in on. Because Keystone Heights has no candidates on its ballot, the city had the option to have an in-person election or an “all-mail ballot.” They opted for the all-mail option, so every voter in the city received a ballot by mail and return postage must be paid by the city.One of the amendments would allow City Council members instead of voters to choose the city’s mayor.
