A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred in Pleasant Hill, California, on Monday morning, resulting in one fatality. Police are investigating the crash.
PLEASANT HILL — One person died in a two-vehicle collision Monday morning, the Pleasant Hill Police Department reported in a press release. The victim's identity was not immediately released by the Contra Costa County Coroner's Division, pending confirmation and notification of next of kin. Police responded to multiple calls reporting a serious injury collision around 9:42 a.m. at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Grayson Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a Kia sedan and a Kia minivan had collided in the intersection. One of the vehicles was overturned onto its roof. The minivan driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. The sedan driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
