Popular Danville brunch spot Crumbs is opening a second location in Pleasant Hill, bringing its diverse menu of American classics with Mediterranean twists to a new community.
Crumbs , a beloved brunch spot in Danville since 2018, is expanding its culinary reach with a second location set to open in Pleasant Hill in late January or early February. The new eatery will occupy the former space of Country Waffles on the corner of Contra Costa Boulevard and Gregory Lane, promising to bring the entirety of Crumbs ' renowned 20-page menu to the Pleasant Hill community.
\Partner Amy Sidhom, who hails from Egypt, and her Greek partner, have crafted a menu that blends classic American brunch fare with delightful Mediterranean twists inspired by their childhoods. This fusion has been a resounding success, with dishes like the shakshouka, featuring a spicy tomato, onion, red pepper, and garlic sauce topped with two eggs, feta, cilantro, and served with sourdough bread, becoming a customer favorite. \The menu also boasts a diverse selection to cater to various dietary needs and preferences, including the popular ube pancakes, Mel's green chilaquiles, and the crab benedict. Sidhom, mindful of her family's diverse dietary needs, has ensured the menu offers options for vegetarians, keto enthusiasts, and meat-lovers alike. The new location will feature a patio for outdoor dining and an indoor space echoing the vibrant ambiance of the Danville original, complete with colorful, upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Customers are encouraged to make reservations for brunch between 7-9 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., while those dining between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. should join the waitlist on Yelp or call ahead to avoid potential delays
