No funds will be diverted from Fort Novosel, Rep. Barry Moore says.
Despite rumors circulating on social media, funding for Fort Novosel are not being diverted to other programs, U.S. Rep. Barry Moore, R-Enterprise, said.
Late last week Moore said he had sent a letter to the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth expressing disappointment that multiple briefings scheduled to discuss the reported reprograming of funds from the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Novosel have been cancelled.
Moore said Friday that while flight training had not been disrupted, he and his staff had been working with House Armed Services Chairman Mike Rogers and the rest of the Alabama delegation to get answers on this issue.
