The Blue Angels are the big draw at Seafair every year, with so many people returning year after year, to relive their childhood memories of Seafair.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels roared over Seattle Thursday afternoon as part of their practice flights before the airshow as part of Seafair Weekend. The team will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the Seafair airshow over Lake Washington.
13-year-old Josephine Van Leuden lives just a few blocks from Genesee Park where Seafair takes place, but she told KOMO she’s never been before. Her friend Sophia Wethell said the same thing. “You know I like the history of it and I remember watching the Blue Angels when I was younger and it was just a really fun time, so I like coming and the hydroplanes and everything it’s really fun,” Sarah Brown told KOMO.
