The U.S. Navy's Blue Angels have officially arrived in Seattle!
The Blue Angels are one of the most esteemed aviation teams in the world and they're set to carry out their annual performance this week at this year's Seafair celebration.
The team arrived at Boeing Field in King County Monday afternoon, where they will be stationed during their stay in Washington. The year 2024 marks the 78th year of the Blue Angels being in service, and roughly 158 service members uphold a "rich tradition of excellence instituted by those who have served before use.
"Since 1946, it has been our honor to represent the hundreds of thousands of men and women who serve in the United States Navy and Marine Corps to audiences both at home and abroad, showcasing the excitement, precision, and power of Naval aviation," the Blue Angels wrote on their website. Known as the unofficial Puget Sound holiday, Seafair is usually the most anticipated summer event. The Blue Angels wrote on their website that their goal for this year is to "continue to inspire young men and women, not just to pursue a career in Naval aviation or the military, but to excel in all areas of their lives."Friday, Aug.
