The Islamic Center of Rockland County, N.Y. apologized Sunday after an antisemitic sermon by a guest speaker drew outrage from the community.by Middle East Research Institute, praised Hamas and begged the Islamic god Allah to “guide their shooting.” He further called for Hamas to “destroy the Zionist Jews .”
“Oh Allah, seize them with a crushing grip, oh Lord of the Universe,” the speaker, identified as an imam, prayed. “Oh Allah, make their plots backfire on them, oh Lord of the Universe. Oh Allah, shake the ground beneath their feet, oh Lord of the Universe, Oh Allah, liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the plundering Jews, return it to the fold of the Muslims, and let us pray there, oh Lord of the Universe.
“We sincerely apologize for any pain caused by these remarks and will ensure that our platform is not used to promote these types of harmful messages going forward,” the Islamic center added.
