Internal applicants from other journals hub locations may also apply. publishes original research from all areas of materials science and engineering, as well as Editorials, Reviews, News & Views and Comment pieces on topics that are of interest to the broader materials community.
We’re looking for an ambitious and dynamic Chief Editor who will ensure that the journal meets the professional needs and interests of its authors and readers. Working within a dynamic editorial and publishing environment that also includesLeading an in-house team of professional editors and working closely with them on all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection, commissioning and editing of Reviews and News & Views, and writing for the journal.
Ensuring all content published in the journal is of the highest quality and covers the spectrum of research in the journal’s scope. Developing the journal’s content in ways that are appropriate to the audience, that will strengthen its impact, and that will support Nature Portfolio’s strategic aims.A PhD, or equivalent qualification, with a strong track record in research relevant to the fields covered in the journal.
