Snow is falling at a steady rate in South Jersey as of late Monday morning in the state's first winter storm of 2022.

But it’s a far different story in northern counties and many places in Central New Jersey, where no flakes have been reported as of late Monday morning.
The lower end of that forecast has already materialized, with 6 inches of snow reported in Absecon in Atlantic County as of 10:30 a.m. Monday, 5.5 inches of snow reported in Seaville in Cape May County and photos appearing on social media showing snow falling at a steady pace and piling up quickly in many areas of South Jersey.
A winter storm warning remains active until 4 p.m. in Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties, along with the southeastern section of Burlington County. A less-urgent winter weather advisory is in effect in Monmouth County and northwestern Burlington County until 4 p.m.
