John James Jones from Aughton is wanted over a double stabbing outside a pub in 2018
A man from West Lancashire who is being hunted by police over a horrific double stabbing is among one of the UK's most wanted fugitives.
The day after the incident, information shows that Jones from Aughton, stayed in a hotel in Madrid, the Echo reports. However, the information also showed that he left the hotel 'rapidly' the next morningHe has still not been found by police nearly five years later and the National Crime Agency has recently renewed an appeal to trace him and six other wanted men. Jones' last known address is Ennerdale Drive in Aughton, West Lancashire, and detectives believe he has links to Ibiza.
"The NCA’s International Crime Bureau and International Liaison Officers work with foreign law enforcement on behalf of UK police forces to track and arrest criminals wherever they are in the world. It’s usual for fugitives to continue to commit crime while on the run and these men will be known in criminal circles wherever they are and some will be trying to blend in to the large British communities for whom Spain is home.
