While many of us might be hoping to be able to relax and put our feet up this Easter weekend, with roast dinners to prepare, Easter eggs to buy and perhaps friends or family coming round, there might be some grocery shopping to get done too.
While larger supermarkets will be closing their doors for the whole day on Easter Sunday , many will remain open on Good Friday , Saturday and Easter Monday . This includes Morrisons which will be open to shoppers on the upcoming Easter bank holidays. For last minute items on Sunday Morrisons Daily stores will be open so you can grab a quick pint of milk or a final chocolate treat. Larger Morrisons supermarkets in England and Wales, including the branches in New Brighton, Speke and Belle Vale, will be closed on Easter Sunday. According to Gov.uk, shops over 280 square metres can open on Sundays, but only for six consecutive hours between 10am and 6pm. They must close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. Trading rules are different in Scotland, where all stores are allowed to stay open on Easter Sunday, regardless of their size. On Good Friday Morrisons will be open from 7am to 10pm, or the same as normal weekday hours. The same is true on Saturday . On Easter Monday most Morrisons shops will close earlier than usual at 8pm. All larger supermarkets will be closed on Easter Sunday . Most Morrisons Daily stores will be open as usual over the long-weekend including Sunday. Most are open from either 6am to 9pm or 7pm to 10pm though some open even later until midnight. On Sundays most stores open an hour later than weekday and Saturday hours with many operating 7am to 9pm, or 8am to 10pm. Shoppers can use the Morrisons store finder to find exact opening hours.
