) - A high speed police chase from Millbrook came to an end in Montgomery when the suspect crashed his vehicle into an interstate exit barrier, according to Millbrook Police Chief PK Johnson.
Lewis attempted to get off the interstate at the Edgemont Avenue exit, but he lost control after attempting to abruptly cross multiple lanes to the exit, Johnson said. The Dodge hit the exit barrier, but Lewis was able to get out and run into the wood line into an adjacent neighborhood. Lewis is charged with felony attempting to elude, unlawful first-degree marijuana possession, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, four counts of reckless endangerment, and a number of traffic violations.
