House Speaker Mike Johnson is facing calls for removal from some Republicans for executing 'the Democrat's agenda.'

“I want to commend @SpeakerJohnson who I consider a personal friend, for demonstrating moral courage in this moment, in a very difficult time,” Pence “Anyone who thinks that we can’t solve our problems at home and be the leader of the free world has a pretty small view of the greatest Nation on Earth,” he continued. “We can do both. And I believe @SpeakerJohnson, and the vast majority of members of Congress know that and I am hopeful before the weekend is out, that we will see American leadership renewed across the world.”
“Since the beginning of the 118th Congress, the House rule allowing a Motion to Vacate from a single member has harmed this office and our House majority,” Johnson wrote. “Recently, many members have encouraged me to endorse a new rule to raise this threshold. While I understand the importance of that idea, any rule change requires a majority of the full House, which we do not have. We will continue to govern under the existing rules.
