Midview Local Schools in Ohio has embarked on a comprehensive strategic planning process that prioritizes community feedback. The district will use input from focus groups and an online survey to shape its future direction in areas like academics, facilities, communication, operations, school climate, and finances.

Midview Local Schools announced on Friday, February 7, 2025, the initiation of a comprehensive strategic planning process designed to chart the district's future course. This initiative seeks to define clear objectives across a broad spectrum of areas, including academic excellence, facilities management, effective communication strategies, streamlined operations, fostering a positive school climate, and prudent financial planning.

The cornerstone of this planning process rests firmly on the invaluable feedback garnered from the diverse stakeholders within the Midview community. This includes students, staff, leadership, families, board members, and the broader community at large. To facilitate open and candid dialogue, the district has scheduled two focus group sessions at Midview Middle School. The first session will be held on February 10 at 6 p.m., followed by a second session on February 26 at 5:30 p.m. Notably, district administrators will not be present at these sessions to encourage unfiltered expression of thoughts and ideas. In addition to the focus groups, the district has launched an online survey consisting of 28 questions, projected to take participants 10-15 minutes to complete. Both the survey and focus group sessions will provide confidential avenues for stakeholders to share their insights and envision the future trajectory of the school system. The collective feedback obtained through these initiatives will serve as the bedrock for the Board of Education and district administration to establish concrete goals and objectives that will guide the future development of Midview Local Schools
