The devil is out in New York to protect the weak. Marvel’s highly anticipated series Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 brings back Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and many familiar faces to our screens. The series, an extension of Netflix’s Daredevil world, perfectly fits into the MCU as we travel the road to Avengers: Doomsday.
Showrun by Dario Scardapane and Matt Corman, Matt Murdock’s second outing continues the thread from the first season and sees our favorite vigilante going up against Mayor Wilson Fisk and his task force. The series doesn’t pull its punches and hits the ground running with action, conspiracy, and a lot of heart. The series has earned a whopping 95% Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics owing to its gripping plot and compelling performances. Cox’s Daredevil set a new standard for superhero shows with its amazing one-takes, visceral fight sequences, and incredibly high stakes, right from its Netflix days. So, when it was canceled after its third season, fans rallied to save the show and hoped for the character’s MCU entry. The second season of Born Again shows that fans’ trust wasn’t misplaced, and their love for Daredevil is only growing. Daredevil: Born Again is at the #2 spot on Disney+ worldwide, as per FlixPatrol. It has teased a major role for Bullseye with the promise of interesting characters like Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones joining the fray in the coming episodes. Collider’s Therese Lacson called the second season “a far, far better showing than Season 1.” Further noting, "Despite all of that, it's hard to deny that when Daredevil: Born Again is good, it's very good. In the moments when the action hits, the writing is solid, and the performances shine, it's firing on all cylinders. The problem is consistency, and it doesn't feel like the Disney+ show has a full grasp on that just yet."
