A construction worker wanted by police for carnapping was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Station Investigation Section (SIS) on Friday, July 28, in Las Piñas City.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano said the suspect identified as John Mark Cawilan, 22, was listed as the fifth most wanted person under the district level.Santos said Cawilan was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Ricardo Aglugub Moldez II of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 197 on May 10, 2023 with recommended bail of P300,000.
The city police chief said Cawilan was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
