While investigating, Steve encountered Raymond Noel in a driveway outside the apartment. Police said Steve noticed that Noel had a gun and ordered him to remove his hands from his pockets.Noel ignored the repeated commands and continued to walk toward the home, according to police, eventually pulling a handgun from his pants and pointing it at Steve.
A jury convicted Noel, now 52, Tuesday of attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
