Quinton Nixon, 33, will not be eligible for parole until he has served 21 years of his sentence for killing Toni Westover in July 2022.
Judge Christine Croce ruled that Nixon also was placed on the state’s Violent Crime Registry.
Moments before sentencing, Croce ruled that Nixon was guilty of two counts of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. If released, Nixon will have to register with a local sheriff’s office every 10 years.“Quinton Nixon shot and killed Toni Westover,” Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich said in a statement. “He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.”
