Nicholas Anderson, 45, faces theft by deception charges related to home repair work in Mobile, Alabama. He allegedly took nearly $19,000 from a victim without completing the work. Nicholas Anderson, 45, is charged with theft by deception 1st. The Mobile County Sheriff's Office says a victim on Summerlyn Court in Mobile wrote three checks to Anderson totaling nearly $19,000 to do work on the house.
Investigators say he did minimal work then disappeared and stopped taking the victim's phone calls. Anderson turned himself into Mobile Metro Jail on Monday. Daphne police arrested Anderson in 2021 for home repair fraud. Lt. Jason Lazzari says Anderson took a $3,300 down payment for a pool installation at a Lake Forest home and didn't return. Anderson has an arrest warrant for failure to appear to court in Daphne. In 2006, he was indicted for theft by deception 1st and ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution to a Mobile man.The Mobile County Sheriff's Office says there may be other victims and investigators would like to speak with them.
