Updated: Jan. 26, 2026, 1:05 p.m.BRUNSWICK HILLS TOWNSHIP, OhioA man recently released from a two-year incarceration reported receiving a $2,637 bill from T-Mobile on Jan. 2. The man told police he has never had T-Mobile service.

He believes an unknown person used his identity to obtain and use a phone during his incarceration.A 14-year-old boy called police to report being the victim of an online scam between Jan. 1-9. The boy said he had met and began communicating with a person online. The interaction became sexual, with the person asking the boy for both personal information and nude photos. The boy complied and the person reportedly demanded $500, threatening to show the photos to his friends at school. The boy said he sent two $25 gift cards to the suspect as partial payment, then became frightened for his safety and called police.Reports stated that police were still attempting to identify the suspect.A woman called police Jan. 2 and reported her ex-boyfriend was sending unwanted text messages to her and threatening to sell nude photos of her.A woman reported losing her wallet Dec. 25 and being alerted to a Cash App purchase of $1,500 using her personal information.Her wallet was later found and turned in at a hotel in Cleveland Jan. 1.Get police blotters by email every weekday for free with our new Police Blotter newsletter.
