Also in the Cleveland Heights blotter, a Kildare Road woman reported finding a bullet hole in a window and in her couch. The woman was not aware when the damage occurred, but police believe it may stem a from a gunshot complaint from the night before.
Cleveland Heights police cited a driver for OVI after he was seen driving erratically and in excess of 60miles per hour on Mayfield Road.At 4:15 a.m. Nov. 10, an officer responded to a report of a man passed out in a car stopped in the road with the car’s hazard lights activated.
In his car’s trunk, police found drug paraphernalia -- small plastic bags and three jars of marijuana.Fleeing and eluding: Mayfield Road The pursuit was soon called off, but a caller to police offered the tip that the car was seen pulling into a driveway on Parkway Drive. Police went to the Parkway address and saw the chased vehicle in the garage.
Police, however, at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 8, saw on a Flock camera the Honda being towed away. The tow truck was seen at Euclid Avenue and Noble Road.At 8:05 p.m. Nov. 8, a woman reported that her 2024 Kia rental car had been damaged while parked in the street. The woman said she parked the car at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8, and at 8 p.m. went to the vehicle to pull it into the driveway. She then noticed its back driver’s side window broken.At 1:45 p.m. Nov.
The vehicle went through a red light, but then surprised the officer by stopping at a red light at Kenilworth and Edgehill roads. As the officer closed in on the Chevy, when the light turned green, it aggressively accelerated and continued on. Eventually, a traffic stop was conducted near Berkshire Lane. Two people were in the vehicle.
