Also in the Beachwood blotter, police arrested a man for violating a protection order by visiting his ex-wife's workplace and calling her approximately 150 times in one day.
Beachwood police investigated a theft-from-auto incident at a local apartment lot in which a man's wallet was stolen and his credit card illegally used.At 7:20 p.m. Sept. 25, officers were dispatched to a home where it was reported by a woman walking her dog that a woman could be heard from a driveway screaming for help.
She also said that he had punched her several times in the back of the head and that, as a result, she had a bump on her head. When told he was under arrest, the man, who smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech, screamed obscenities at officers. He was handcuffed and led to a police car, where he then spit at, but missed, an officer. He then had to be forced into the back of the police cruiser.
A traffic stop was conducted and the man admitted to having been at the workplace. He said he wanted to explain something to his ex-wife, but that he also told her he didn’t “give an about .”
