A 35-year-old Fairhope man is facing manslaughter charges after allegedly selling fentanyl that led to a fatal overdose in Gulf Shores.
A 35-year-old man is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond at the Baldwin County Corrections Center on a manslaughter charge following a deadly drug overdose in Gulf Shores , according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Tyrell Shamon Johnson of Fairhope sold the fentanyl that lead to the death on Dec. 9 on Twin Pines Circle, the agency said. He was arrested Monday.The investigation was handled by the Baldwin County Drug Task Force.
It was during an interview with task force investigators when Johnson admitted to selling fentanyl to the decedent around the time of his death, the BCSO said. The Baldwin County Drug Task Force is comprised of law enforcement officers from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, the Gulf Shores Police Department, the Foley Police Department and the Bay Minette Police Department
