Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after police said he attacked and injured two EMTs in an ambulance.

Police said they responded to Ormond Street around 4:45 p.m. Saturday after Mirsad Kahric, 30, attacked a 36-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man unprovoked in their ambulance following a medical call.

Officers found Kahric inside the ambulance and had to use force to take him into custody, according to police. The EMTs were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Kahric was charged with assault, robbery, grand larceny and resisting arrest. He was held in the Monroe County Jail on $5,000 bail or $25,000 bond, according to jail records.
