Shazali Sulaiman, a 28-year-old Malaysian man, has launched a unique service called 'villain for hire' where he 'harasses' a boyfriend's significant other for a fee, allowing the boyfriend to step in and appear heroic. While his service has drawn criticism for potentially constituting sexual harassment, Sulaiman insists his performances are purely theatrical and no harm is done.

A Malaysian man, Shazali Sulaiman, 28, who often gets mistaken for a member of a street gang, has launched a unique service: 'villain for hire'. Sulaiman advertises his services on Facebook, offering to 'harass' a boyfriend's significant other for a 'reasonable fee', allowing the boyfriend to step in and 'play the hero'. He writes, 'Are you tired of your partner thinking you are weak? For a reasonable fee, I can help you prove them wrong.

' Sulaiman explains that his regular mistaken identity as a shady character sparked the idea for his service. He details the process: 'When the boyfriend went to the bathroom, I pretended to 'harass' his girlfriend,' he wrote. 'When he returned, he confronted me like a hero.' While the service seems targeted towards boyfriends, Sulaiman clarifies he is open to both men and women. Sulaiman operates his 'villain for hire' service on weekdays for 100 ringgit ($22.50) and weekends for 150 ringgit (about $34.00). He also notes that additional fees might apply for clients outside his city due to travel expenses. Although he hasn't disclosed the number of times he's used his service or his earnings, Sulaiman's 'villain for hire' venture has drawn criticism on social media. Some argue that his staged harassment could be construed as sexual harassment, a serious offense in Malaysia. The country's laws define sexual harassment as 'unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, whether verbal, non-verbal, visual, gestural, or physical, that is directed at a person and is considered offensive, humiliating or a threat to their well-being.'Convicted individuals face steep fines of up to 10,000 ringgit (around $2,200) and imprisonment for up to two years. However, Sulaiman dismisses these concerns, stating that his performances are purely theatrical and no actual harm is inflicted. He compares his act to WWE, emphasizing that 'no one gets hurt, I am the only 'loser.
