A West Jordan man accused of shooting another man in the leg during an argument is facing several charges. Aukusitino Heinakau Mafi, 36, was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, drug possession and illegal discharge of a firearm, second-degree felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor. 23, West Valley police responded to a shooting at an apartment near 3600 South and 4200 West. Officers found the victim outside on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to charging documents. The charges state that the victim went to the apartment to "hang out and play games" with others. But one friend said she took him there "not knowing he wasn't supposed to be there." After arriving, the man and Mafi got into an argument and two to three shots were fired. The victim suffered a fractured femur, according to court documents
