Starting the day in 29th position, Georgia Hall worked her way up to a 12th-place finish...

Georgia Hall of England putts on the ninth green during the second round of The Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods on April 21, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. By her own admission, Georgia Hall did not have her “A” game on Friday and Saturday. She described it as average.

With weather conditions being unseasonably cooler in Sunday’s final round of the Chevron Championship, and with tough pin placements, somehow Hall’s game heated up. Her 4-under 68 at The Club at Carlton Woods tied for the low round with Lilia Vu and Jin Young Ko. “I struggled with my putting on Friday and Saturday, and I really sorted it out today,” Hall said. “I would say I need to practice that, but I was very happy with the way it went.”

The money leader on the LPGA Tour, Hall shot 68 despite carding a double bogey. She hit 10 of 14 fairways and 12 of 18 greens in regulation, parring the final eight holes, saying afterward she wished she had hand warmers available.“Happy with my game and how I played this week,” said Hall, the 2018 British Open winner. “I must say it is a really good major golf course. I would love to win a major this year.
