After months of waiting, a Lorain woman cashed a check refunding her full security deposit after an interview with 19 News.
LORAIN, Ohio - LORAIN, Ohio - Cathy Young moved out of her Springer Health care Systems apartment back in April, but she continued to struggle to get her full security deposit check.“That’s all I wanted to do, I felt that I was due and owed that money,” said Young.
“They sent everyone a letter stating that if we could pack everything back up, they would forward our deposit and take care of that first month rent,” said Young. She worked with Section Eight, who assists her with rent payments, to move out but has yet to receive her security deposit in late August, which she said was all out of pocket.
