Letters to the Editor

Readers support the Maple Avenue project; offer an insight look at the vote on Christian curriculum in Texas schools; and dislike the design of Terminal F.Cyclists commute along a section of Maple Avenue after leaving a meeting which was conducted to allow city officials the opportunity to hear from local residents on proposed changes including reducing lanes on a section of Maple Avenue. The meeting was held at 3505 Maple Avenue in Dallas on November 1, 2024.

Road diets create safer streets, promote healthier transportation options, cut emissions and improve economic vitality in an area. Why are our hospitals fighting all of that?I joined many people of faith, reviewing the Texas Education Agency’s new, expensive Christian curriculum for public schools and attended State Board of Education hearings in September and last Monday.

I’m sure it’s money; it’s always money. I have seen better looking trailers sitting outside the back door of elementary schools than the proposed design for the new terminal. It is so lackluster that the architects should return 95% of their fee since they designed a 10-foot section and just repeated it the length of the building.
