I live in Texas, which seems to be the Wild West when it comes to guns. But, people, let’s be sensible when the statistics show that having guns is only killing our citizens! Now, I question whether I should blink my lights at someone who has failed to turn on their lights or whether I should honk my horn at someone blocking the street lest I become a victim of gun violence.
It is a grievous statement about our political system when Mr. Lipinski has to remind us that a tempered position would do wonders for the Democratic Party, or either political party for that matter. To our state legislators: Almost every day we read about the state surplus, and almost every day we read about lack of funding to our school districts and teachers. Now, we read that the collection of all the Robin Hood funds are not all going directly to the school districts. This needs to be addressed immediately.
