Our republic is heading toward the heartache of watching a loved one melt away in pain. Out-of-control spending is causing a decline that is slowly diminishing the full faith and credit around the world. He played a huge role in its beginning and should have been credited for all he did in Villalba’s piece. Muse’s book,, gives great insight as to how this airline began. It was started by three men: Herb Kelleher, Rollin King and Muse. Muse was the financial genius behind it all.I read Villalba’s op-ed and couldn’t agree more. As a small business owner who does business all over the state, I have benefited greatly from Southwest for almost 50 years.
It seems that some council members are paying for trash pickups for neighborhoods like mine where we have experienced zero issues. Over the last week, I have seen the independent trash collectors pick up trash from bins that were emptied during their scheduled pickups. This is somewhat invasive as they will walk up a private driveway to check on the bins.
That bogeyman has eroded the public’s belief in other institutions, especially the news media — and that lack of belief will cost dearly.
