A west wind will gust over 30 mph today with high temperatures around 30 degrees. Lake effect snow is possible in the area, with locally over 3 inches of snow possible in the northeast part of Ashtabula County. More lake effect snow is expected late tonight and tomorrow morning, with heavier accumulations possible east of Cleveland.

CLEVELAND , Ohio - a west wind today will gust over 30 mph at times with high temperatures around 30 degrees. Lake effect snow will be in the area with locally over 3 inches of snow possible in the northeast part of Ashtabula County. Most will not see much in the way of accumulation today.

A disturbance will track in late tonight. A swath of snow is forecast to move into areas south of Cleveland after midnight. Forecast accumulation is for around 1″ with the system. More lake effect snow will develop early tomorrow morning. This round is expected to be heavier. The steering wind turns more to the northwest which will spread the lake snow well inland. Locally over 11″ of additional snow could happen where squalls persist. The best chance of this will be in the higher terrain east of Cleveland. A west wind will gust over 30 mph at times with afternoon temperatures in the upper 20s.

Bitter cold air Saturday with temperatures in the 20s and winds gusting over 35 mph at times.
