The migrant crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border seemed on the back-burner for Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday as she visited Rhode Island.
Wednesday was the 43rd day that Harris has neither toured the border region nor held a news conference about the crisis since late March, when she was named"Kamala Harris needs to put Americans first and visit the Texas-Mexico border," Cruz wrote in one of a series of border-related tweets Wednesday.
In another message, Cruz wrote:"God bless the men and women of our nation's law enforcement for keeping Texans safe!"Harris has spoken of her online conversations with leaders of Mexico and Guatemala, and of plans to visit the so-called"Northern Triangle" region in June – while Cruz and other Republicans have been asking her instead to visit Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and the border region of her home state of California.
"Joe Biden should listen to the experts," Cruz wrote in another tweet."The border is not under control."
