Pflugerville ISD officials said the lockdown was initiated as a precaution after district police received a tip about a possibly armed individual.According to police, the call stemmed from a report of a person in the CarMax parking lot across the street who was seen displaying a firearm from a backpack. Investigators later confirmed through video that the individual got back into a vehicle and drove away without entering the campus.“At this time, there is no evidence that any shots were fired, and no injuries have been confirmed,” police said. Students and staff were placed on lockdown for about an hour, remaining secured in classrooms as officers worked the scene. The campus was cleared, and students were released around 5:30 p.m., according to the district.“I was really scared, I was really shaken up, and I was just texting my mom to get in contact with her,” student Eryn Turner said.
