Texas High School student shoots teacher, takes own life
The 15-year-old boy shot a female teacher at Hill Country College Preparatory High School in in Comal County before turning the gun on himself, county sheriff Mark Reynolds said at an afternoon news conference.
Officials had initially announced that the student had died following the gunfire, but did not say how. Hill Country College Preparatory — a public school-of-choice with fewer than 200 students in the town of Bulverde, near San Antonio — has spent the day updating parents and guardians with updates and reunification protocols on Facebook. Students were ushered to a nearby middle school complex, and parents and guardians were required to show valid photo IDs to pick up their kids, the school said.
