John B. Connally High School was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after district police received a tip regarding a person possibly armed in the school's parking lot, Pflugerville ISD officials said.
Austin police officers responded to the school at 3:55 p.m., according to the department. The school was then placed on lockdown as officers investigated."At this time, there is no evidence that any shots were fired, and no injuries have been confirmed," police said."At this time, officers have not been able to locate the individual or confirm that there is any active danger," the district said. Students and staff were secured in their classrooms while law enforcement worked through the situation.
