The comic is ensuring others know what to look out for

Glasgow comedian Janey Godley has taken to social meida to raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms as she contnues to fight the disease.

The beloved comic received the diagnosis in December 2021 after she had experienced frequent urination and bloating. At the beginning of 2022 she underwent a hysterectomy but following the operation Janey was told that further treatment was needed as her cancer became worse. Despite being given the all clear, it was revealed that the cancer had returned following some recent scans. This means that Janey needs to undergo further chemotherapy.The 62-year-old took to Twitter to urge her followers to be wary of the signs of ovarian cancer.

She tweeted: "I miss my hair, I miss my ovaries and womb and I missed the symptoms of ovarian cancer don’t let that happen to you 1. Bloating and swollen tummy 2. Feeling full before you eat 3. Peeing too much 4.
