Mark Nawaqanitawase is set for a switch to fullback for the Waratahs this weekend but there was no room in the NSW starting side for star Wallabies prop Angus Bell.
The Waratahs have suffered a major blow ahead of their home clash against the Blues, with star fullback Max Jorgensen ruled out through injury.
Regular winger Mark Nawaqanitawase will start at fullback on Saturday evening at Allianz Stadium after Jorgensen picked up a hip injury at training this week.program. “ has tried so many options at fullback over the last three or so years. It’s probably going to open his eyes up to the game a bit more. He’ll get more opportunities at the back.”Mark Nawaqanitawase and Max Jorgensen at the Rugby World Cup last year.
Since the start of the 2021 season, Bell has only come off the bench once for the Waratahs in 21 appearances.
