Hyundai issued a new recall for certain Genesis models that were manufactured between 2025 and 2026.
Hyundai is recalling 83,877 cars related to a software error problem that affects certain model cars. National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration officials shared in a Jan.16 recall notice that the software error may cause the "instrument panel display to fail.
"RELATED: Toyota recalls 162,000 trucks over faulty video screensThe agency noted that these vehicles fail to meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for controls and displays.The automaker’s recall covers certain Genesis 2025-2026 G80, GV80, 2026 G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 cars.Owners of the recalled vehicles are urged to disable the high-definition radio feature until a recall remedy is completed.According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the audio video navigation software will be updated or inspected and updated by your local dealership for free. Notification letters are expected to be mailed on March 16 and owners with questions about the recall can call Genesis customer service at 1-844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for the recall is 031G and the vehicle identification numbers in the recall can be found on NHTSA.gov.
