A search operation was launched yesterday afternoon following a 'concern for welfare' report near the Central Pier, Lancs Live reports. RNLI volunteers launched two lifeboats off the coast.
RNLI Blackpool uploaded a video of the operation to their Facebook page last night and in a statement said: "Callout out at 2.47pm for concern for welfare, Blackpool RNLI volunteer crew attended and launched both D Class lifeboats to commence searches.
