Blackpool RNLI, Blackpool Police and North West Ambulance Service were called to a 'concern for welfare' near Central Pier
A person has been 'recovered from the sea' in Blackpool following a huge emergency services response.
The callout happened at 2.47pm on Monday and the RNLI was also joined by officers from Blackpool Police and North West Ambulance Service. Pictures shared on social media showed at least four police vehicles stationed on the Promenade.RNLI Blackpool uploaded a video of the operation to their Facebook page last night and in a statement said: "Callout out at 2.47pm for concern for welfare, Blackpool RNLI volunteer crew attended and launched both D Class lifeboats to commence searches.
