In 2022, Brown started posting more video content to Facebook, which had launched its short-form-video product called reels. Her first Facebook reel was a repurposed TikTok of her putting together an outfit from Walmart. It rapidly raked in over a million views and paved the way for her budding influencer career.
"I didn't expect it to take off the way it did," said Brown, who quit her full-time job as an insurance adjuster in December after making enough money from Facebook's creator monetization tools.
